Doctoral students of the Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau University B.U. Sharipova and G.E. Baikenov majoring in Ecology are undergoing scientific sabbatical at the Department of Biology, Geography and Chemistry of the KorkytAta Kyzylorda University.

In the course of the scientific internship, doctoral students got acquainted with the university rector B. Karimova, vice-rector for scientific work and international relations Prmantayeva Bekzat Aidarbekovna, who wished the young scientists success in their scientific activity. The doctoral students got acquainted both with the fund of the scientific library of the university, the T.D. Kuanyshbaev Scientific and Educational Center for Chemical and Biological Research, and the Engineering Laboratory of Physicochemical Methods of Analysis. This sabbatical is the result of cooperation among the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and a prominent environmental scientist, professor of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, doctor of biological sciences N.V. Baranovskaya, who was appointed as a foreign scientific consultant for doctoral students. Head of the scientific internship for doctoral students is Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor R.Kh. Kurmanbayev. In the course of the sabbatical, doctoral students visited the Aral area - the epicenter of the ecological disaster zone, including the Small Aral Sea and the unique lake Kamystybas, where the only fish nursery “Kamystybas” in Kazakhstan is located. Further, along the planned route, they visited the Karmakshy region, on the administrative territory of which the world's first and largest rocket and space complex "Baikonyr" is located, namely the City of Baikonyr.

There was a sampling on the topic of dissertation paper in these areas. After collecting the material, analytical studies were carried out in the Engineering Laboratory of Physicochemical Methods of Analysis. After receiving the results of the analysis, it is planned to write scientific articles on the research topic in domestic and foreign publications.
